Scientific Advisory Committee
The oversight and stewardship of Understanding Society content and data collection methods is the responsibility of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).
The Scientific Advisory Committee provides detailed oversight concerning matters of content, design, and sampling, new research and other activities affecting the study, including quality. SAC promotes the continuation, development and use of the study in research and teaching, as well as appreciation of the contribution of Understanding Society to a better understanding of today's society. This committee will also inform the development of public policy, advance scientific agendas and enhance methodological development.
